Visit MCPL Wausau for final film in Summer Camp Sundays Series
The Marathon County Public Library will wrap up its Summer Camp Sundays Film Series with a screening of a fun, off-beat 1999 comedy! MCPL will screen the film on July 23 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Popular cheerleader Megan (Natasha Lyonne) finds herself wanting to listen to Melissa Etheridge rather than make out with her quarterback boyfriend. When she realizes she’s a lesbian, Megan’s straight-laced parents send her to New Directions gay reparative therapy camp, where she and other gay youth are forced to try to rewire their brains to like the opposite sex. Instead, Megan finds herself among other campers who are experiencing the same thing as her. Rated R, with a running time of 85 minutes. Intended for mature audiences only.
This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/?event_id=3737.
