Read and Rock with Leonardo! (MCPL Wausau)
Come see acclaimed children’s musician Leonardo when he performs on July 24 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau! Parent’s Choice Award-winner Leonardo will use his music to inspire your child’s imagination, creativity and fill them with a love of reading! Free and open to the public. Visit the Marathon County Public Library for an afternoon of music, laughs and more when children’s entertainer Leonardo visits on July 24 from 2-3 p.m. at the Hatley Branch Library, 435 Curtis Ave., Hatley. Creative Computing for Everyone (MCPL Wausau)
Tweens and teens in grades 4-12 can learn how to use Scratch programming to make a variety of games, stories and animations on July 24 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau! Any skill and experience level is welcomed during the final day of this six-week workshop. Free and open to all tweens and teens. For more information, call 715-261-7230.
LEGO® Block Party (MCPL Hatley)
Children of all ages and their families are invited to build creative projects using LEGO blocks! The Marathon County Public Library will host its LEGO Block Party on July 24 from 3-6 p.m. at its Hatley Branch, 435 Curtis Ave., Hatley. All blocks will be provided. PAWS to Read (MCPL Mosinee)
Children will have the opportunity to read to a friendly pooch as part of the Marathon County Public Library’s Summer Library Program! MCPL will offer a session of “PAWS to Read” on July 24 from 3-4 p.m. at the MCPL Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Kids can practice and improve their literary skills by reading aloud to a well-behaved therapy dog, which will be provided by Therapy Dogs of Central Wisconsin. This is a drop-in event, so children are welcome to come any time during the set time period. Free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-693-2144.

Story Time with the Fairest of the Fair (MCPL Rothschild)
Meet and hear stories from the Fairest of the Fair on July 25 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Rothschild Branch, 211 N. Grand Ave., Rothschild! Katelyn Schmoll, the Wisconsin Valley Fair’s 2017 Fairest of the Fair, will talk about her history of raising and showing a variety of animals for 4-H and will read fun farm and animal stories! Minute to Win It – For Tweens! (MCPL Wausau)
Tweens can compete in a series of 60-second challenges during “Minute to Win It – for Teens” on July 25 from 1:30-3 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. Recycle Day (MCPL Spencer)
Plastic, glass and cardboard items can easily be recycled, but have you ever wondered what could be done if you decided to repurpose them? Kids can find out on July 26 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer!
