Read and Rock with Leonardo! (MCPL Wausau)

Creative Computing for Everyone (MCPL Wausau)
Tweens and teens in grades 4-12 can learn how to use Scratch programming to make a variety of games, stories and animations on July 24 from 2-3:30 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. LEGO® Block Party (MCPL Hatley)
Children of all ages and their families are invited to build creative projects using LEGO blocks! The Marathon County Public Library will host its LEGO Block Party on July 24 from 3-6 p.m. at its Hatley Branch, 435 Curtis Ave., Hatley. All blocks will be provided. PAWS to Read (MCPL Mosinee)
Children will have the opportunity to read to a friendly pooch as part of the Marathon County Public Library’s Summer Library Program! MCPL will offer a session of “PAWS to Read” on July 24 from 3-4 p.m. at the MCPL Mosinee Branch, 123 Main St., Mosinee. Kids can practice and improve their literary skills by reading aloud to a well-behaved therapy dog, which will be provided by Therapy Dogs of Central Wisconsin. This is a drop-in event, so children are welcome to come any time during the set time period. Free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-693-2144.

Meet and hear stories from the Fairest of the Fair on July 25 from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Rothschild Branch, 211 N. Grand Ave., Rothschild! Katelyn Schmoll, the Wisconsin Valley Fair’s 2017 Fairest of the Fair, will talk about her history of raising and showing a variety of animals for 4-H and will read fun farm and animal stories!
