StoryWalk® returning to Monk Gardens July 15-16
One of the most popular programs at the Monk Botanical Gardens in Wausau last summer was StoryWalk® — a delightful and innovative approach encouraging people of all ages to get out and walk while enjoying wonderful children’s books posted on stakes at kids’ eye level. Hundreds came out to read and view the books, each sponsored by a local organization.
StoryWalk® returns this year on Saturday and Sunday, July 15-16, from 11 a,m, to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
The event is co-sponsored with the Marathon County Public Library. The Woodson Art Museum will conduct an art-making activity on the Memory Plaza during the event.
Also, at the entrance, Girl Scouts will be collecting used children’s books to be made available in the Little Free Library, located at the Treehouse.
The Monk Gardens are located at 1800 N. First Avenue, Wausau. Get more information at www.monkgardens.org or https://mcpl.us/.
