(Weston, Wis.) — Ministry Health Care, part of Ascension, and Medical College Physicians are pleased to welcome Cary Fechter, MD, to Ministry Medical Group’s pulmonary and critical care medicine department. Dr. Fechter sees patients at 3301 Cranberry Boulevard in Weston and 824 Illinois Avenue in Stevens Point.

A board-certified pulmonary, critical care and internal medicine physician, Dr. Fechter provides diagnosis, treatment and personalized care for a full range of lung diseases. He sees patients who are 12 years old and older. Dr. Fechter has a special interest in work-related pneumoconiosis, COPD and asthma. He frequently draws illustrations to help his patients understand their medical conditions as he discusses the short- and long-term goals of care. He strives to fulfill his commitment to deliver quality care while maintaining personal relationships.

Dr. Fechter received his Bachelor of Science degree in chemistry from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. He earned his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. He completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Fechter also completed a Pulmonary Fellowship at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina.

“I believe practicing medicine is a privilege,” said Dr. Fechter. “It’s challenging. It has defined me.”

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Fechter enjoys swimming, spending time with his family and developing pulmonary testing equipment.
