SCHOFIELD, WI. April 17, 2017—NEWaukee and the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) officials today presented Greenheck with a 2017 Bubbler Award.
Every year, NEWaukee hosts the Bubbler Awards: Best Workplaces for Young Professionals in Wisconsin as a kickoff to YPWeek. The Bubbler Awards shine a light on the companies that make great strides to accommodate the interests and needs of younger workers.
“Wisconsin-based companies realize how important it is to keep our young talent here and encourage them to grow and become the next generation of leaders across all industries,” said Angela Damiani, CEO of NEWaukee. “We are proud to highlight companies like Greenheck that have made it a priority to create an environment that allows not only young professionals, but all their employees, to connect to both their workplace and community in unique and valuable ways.”
NEWaukee and WEDC leaders presented the award on site and met with the company’s employees to learn about Greenheck’s efforts to become a place where young professionals enjoy working. Among those visiting were WEDC Deputy Secretary Tricia Braun and NEWaukee Co-Founder Jeremy Fojut.
Greenheck is a worldwide leader in the manufacturer of quality air movement, control and conditioning equipment. Beginning 70 years ago as a small sheet metal shop in Schofield, WI, Greenheck’s broad line of ventilation equipment is available around the world and is used in commercial, institutional and industrial facilities. The company employs over 3,200 individuals worldwide (over 2,000 in Wisconsin).
“We are extremely proud and honored to be a recipient of the Bubbler Award,” said Kathy Drengler, Greenheck vice president of human resources. “This is a testament to our ongoing efforts and investments to attract, develop and retain employees by creating a workplace environment that supports and encourages employee personal and professional growth through leadership and career development, training opportunities, special events and wellness programs.”
“Greenheck exemplifies the type of strong leadership that is needed to establish the state as an ideal workplace destination for young professionals,” explained Tricia Braun, WEDC deputy secretary and chief operating officer. “WEDC and its many partners, including the state’s young professionals’ groups, are working together to promote Wisconsin as a destination for business, personal and professional fulfillment. That’s why it’s important for us to celebrate companies like Greenheck, which is putting the Think-Make-Happen concept into action.”
