Visit MCPL Wausau for screening of a big friendly movie on Jan. 24
Visit the Marathon County Public Library on a day off from school to watch a movie on the big screen! MCPL will screen Disney’s animated film “The BFG” on Jan. 24 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Directed by Steven Spielberg and based on Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book, the film follows a girl named Sophie, who encounters the Big Friendly Giant. Despite his intimidating appearance, the BFG turns out to be a kind-hearted soul who is considered an outcast by the other giants because, unlike them, he refuses to eat children. Rated PG, with a running time of 117 minutes.
