Footlocker.com/Eastbay & ASICS donate shoes to the Help the Kids Fund
Footlocker.com/Eastbay & ASICS teamed up to collect nearly 100 pairs of new and gently used shoes for Jim Nick’s Help the Kids Fund for homeless kids in Marathon County.
Darcey Westcott, Vendor Marketing Manager for Footlocker.com/Eastbay, presented the donation to Jim Nick on Wednesday, Dec. 14. The shoes will be distributed to students in the Wausau and D.C. Everest Area School Districts.
When asked why ASICS wanted to participate in the shoe drive, Corey Swan, Key Account Manager for ASICS, stated, “ASICS stands for ‘Sound Mind, Sound Body.’ Helping kids in area schools have the best chance at learning is the perfect portrayal of this statement. Partnering with Footlocker.com/Eastbay to organize the drive emphasizes the true spirit of community here in Wausau.”
