Get your gifts wrapped, help those in need
Christmas is right around the corner! With all the baking, decorating, shopping and wrapping to think about, let United Way volunteers help with the gift wrapping!
United Way Volunteer Connections’ Bundles of Joy Gift Wrapping project is underway until Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and is entirely run by volunteers! Families, friends and companies give of their time to wrap your gifts, so that with your donations, emergency diapers and formula can be provided to those families in need within Marathon County.
Since 2007 Bundles of Joy has supported families by providing approximately 16,000 four-ounce bottles of formula and over 11,000 packages of diapers to those needing emergency assistance. United Way of Marathon County partners with these eight local agencies in Marathon County to distribute the items: Marathon County Health Department, WIC, The Women’s Community, The Salvation Army, Bridge Community Health Clinic, Catholic Charities, Head Start and the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin/Family Resource Center.
Do your last minute shopping at the Wausau Center mall, have the friendly volunteers wrap your gifts, make a donation to the Bundles of Joy program and make a difference while crossing one more thing off your list!
