YWCA Wausau welcomes new Program Director
Wausau WI. (Thursday, April 30)- YWCA Wausau welcomes a new Program Director, Samantha Wederath. She comes to us from the Fox Valley Area, where she worked in non-profit as an Assistant Director of a Boys & Girls Club for almost 3 years. Sam is a graduate of Concordia University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Theatre Performance. Sam is driven and eager to bring programs and events to YWCA and the Wausau Community. Her energy and interest in nonprofit work, connecting with people, and making a difference will advance our YWCA’s impact in the coming year. The YWCA is planning programming in fall that will include programs around its mission and focus areas that include: Y: Youth and family Supports: W: Women Empowerment and Economic Advancement C: Creating Community Connections A: Advocacy for Equality & Inclusive Community. We’ll continue Babysitting Rocks, Lunch and Learn series on inclusiveness, economic support programming and opportunities to hear Inspiring women speakers. In September there will be several events to celebrate the YWCA Wausau’s 100 years in the community!
