“We are thrilled to have brought a branch to Wausau,” said Andrew Czysz, Owner and Chief Operating Officer with Alpine Insurance Brokers. “Having recently visited and spent time in the community, we could not be more excited. The community has welcomed our Wausau resident, Heidi Coleman, with open arms. With a cabin up in the Northwoods, I am incredibly excited to visit our Wausau location in the years to come. Thank you again for your hospitality Wausau, we appreciate you!”
Alpine Insurance Brokers was formed in the 1980s in Steamboat Springs, CO. In 2004, Glenwood Insurance Agency purchased Alpine Insurance Brokers and in 2007 Paxton and Susie Jones purchased the agency from Glenwood Insurance. Following some good feedback from a consultant, the Joneses focused their efforts on addressing the agency’s weaknesses, adopting a mantra of ‘under promise and over deliver.’
Alpine Insurance went on to acquire Draper Insurance in Craig, CO and another agency in Oak Creek, CO.
“Opening up a storefront in Wausau is an exciting opportunity to serve the community’s Insurance needs and provide excellent service to local residents,” said Kaci Doolin, Owner and Chief Collaboration Officer with the company. “I think the demographics are much like our small town in Colorado, where people are more like family rather than customers. Alpine Insurance is not your average Insurance company, we focus on getting to know what’s most important to you and finding coverage that fits your needs all at a competitive price.”
The leadership team determined that Heidi Coleman was capable of outstanding accomplishments if an office was opened in Wausau. Coleman recruited members of the management team to visit central Wisconsin and participate in both the Greater Wausau Chamber of Commerce’s Business EXPO and a ribbon cutting.
“Heidi is a caring and confident person, so she is sure to make friends with the generous people of the community,” said Paxton Jones, President of the business. “If those strong and influential people who welcomed us at the ribbon cutting have her back, it will be impossible for her to fail.”
