Wausau Area CVB launches new marketing tools

WAUSAU – Tim White, executive director of the Wausau/Central Wisconsin Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB), recently announced the launching of MarketingWausau.com.
MarketingWausau.com is an online landing page for all marketing professionals working to promote events and organizations in Marathon County.
“Sign up for get-togethers, news, a Shrpa account and ultimately a Simpleview account,” a CVB release stated.
Shrpa is a platform that helps visitors/locals find entertainment and share things to do within the community.
“ They highlight the things we love about our area; day trips, date nights or an afternoon with the family. Easy to organize activities and adventures in a fun and informative way all created by local marketing,” the release added.
“Simpleview – The CVB just signed a massive agreement to launch a new interactive website CMS and CRM built specifically for DMOs (Destination Marketing Organizations).
“Shrpa (shrpa.com) also features an influencer component where regional social media influencers can visit and write about their experience to enhance an event or organization.
“Simpleview (simpleview.com) is used by DMOs of all sizes, including Stevens Point, Eau Claire, Wisconsin Dells, Madison, Chicago, Las Vegas and many more. The project will be a 7 month rollout.”
In addition to approving these strategies, the CVB Board of Directors also approved Yee Leng Xiong, Weston trustee, as the interim board president. Last month, Tim Van De Yacht, Ghidorzi Hotel Group, and Greg Fisher, Granite Peak, were added to the board.
