Library classes will teach folks how to access, download free e-books

Did you know thousands of books and audiobooks are available to download for free with a few taps or clicks on your computer, smartphone or tablet? It’s true, and you can learn how to access them during a free class on January 14 from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau. A second, identical session of the class will also be held on January 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Library staff will show attendees how to access free e-books and audiobooks on Wisconsin’s Digital Library using their Marathon County Public Library card and the user-friendly Libby app. Attendees will learn how to download the Libby app to their smartphone or tablet, how to search the digital catalog, how to check out and download materials, and more! Attendees are asked to bring along a Marathon County Public Library card in good standing and their own electronic device on which to download the app.
This event is free and open to the public, with registration required. For more information or to register, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/7371.
