Visit MCPL Wausau for screening of Oscar-nominated film on May 8
Join the Marathon County Public Library for a free screening of a 2017 Academy Award-nominated film that explores the worlds of fashion and romance in 1950s London on May 8 from 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. at the library’s Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
In the film, Daniel Day-Lewis plays Reynolds Woodcock, a renowned dressmaker whose fastidious life is disrupted by a young, strong-willed woman named Alma (Vicky Krieps), who becomes his muse and lover. The film received several Oscar nominations, most notably for Day-Lewis (Best Actor), Best Picture and Best Director (Paul Thomas Anderson). Rated R, with a running time of 130 minutes.
