All cross country and snowshoe trails at Nine Mile Forest Recreation Area are closed temporarily to the public all day today and until 3 p.m. on Saturday. All cross country and snowshoe trails will reopen to the public at 3 p.m. Saturday.

The “South Loop” between intersections 361 and 362 through the Nine Mile Forest Unit will be closed to snowmobiles on Saturday until 3 p.m. for the Badger State Games. The “North Loop” between these two intersections will remain open.

The Park Department asks that everyone please stay off of all trails to preserve the trails for the Badger State Games.

For more information, contact the Park Department at 715-261-1550, or visit www.co.marathon.wi.us/parks.asp.
