Water Walkers ski team donates $1,000 to Never Forgotten Honor Flight
The Central Wisconsin Water Ski Show Team, also known as the Water Walkers, recently donated $1,000 to the Never Forgotten Honor Flight. Presenting the check, on behalf of the Water Walkers, is Show Director Janelle Gokey. Accepting the donation is Jim Campbell, Vice President of the Northern Wisconsin Division, of the Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
This is the fifth year the water ski team performed a special fundraising show for the Never Forgotten Honor Flight, a non-profit organization that flies veterans to Washington DC to see the monuments that stand in their honor. In total, the water ski team has raised just over $7,000 in the past 5 years which has provided 14 veterans a seat on a Never Forgotten Honor Flight.
“As a non-profit organization, we value giving back to the community because our audiences and local businesses have been so supportive of our team. This is a great way for us to thank and show appreciation for our veterans,” said Gokey.
