MCPL Wausau to screen second film in its Summer Camp Film Series
Director Wes Anderson is well-known for his quirky, off-beat films, and the Marathon County Public Library will be showing one of them as part of their Summer Camp Film Series! Join MCPL for their screening of this 2012 film on June 25 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at its Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
The film centers around Camp Ivanhoe and the greater New Penzance Island, where two 12 year-olds fall in love, make a secret pact and run away together into the wilderness as a violent storm approaches off-shore. Meanwhile, the authorities, the children’s parents and the camp work to find the tweens in time. The movie stars Bruce Willis, Edward Norton, Bill Murray and Francis McDormand. Rated PG-13, with a running time of 94 minutes.
