SPASH Baseball Upsets Wausau West

The SPASH baseball team travelled to Wausau West for its third game in as many days and came away with a 10-7 win over the league leading Warriors. The win improves the Panthers to 6-9 overall, 4-1 in the Wisconsin Valley Conference. West drops to 10-1 overall, 6-1 in the conference.
SPASH belted out ten runs on ten hits with two errors led by Gus Turner-Zick who went 3 for 4 at the plate including three runs batted in. Brett Her added a double and two rbi’s.
Tyler Frafjord picked up the win on the mound pitching six innings, striking out three, walking two and allowing three hits and three runs.
Logan Grunenwald took the loss for the Warriors. Grunenwald tossed five innings of ball allowing seven runs on eight hits. The Warriors committed four errors.
SPASH travels to Merrill this afternoon for a 5 p.m. tilt, then hosts Wausau West Friday afternoon at Bukolt Park. First pitch is scheduled for 5 p.m..
