MCPL Wausau’s tween book club offers discussion and competition
Tweens in the Wausau area are invited to discuss a popular book and stick around for some fun competitive challenges during the Marathon County Public Library’s Chat & Challenge Book Club! MCPL will host the next session of the book club on March 12 from 3 p.m. to 3:45 p.m. at the Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Tweens will discuss the book ”Because of Winn-Dixie” by Kate DiCamillo. In the book, ten-year- old India Opal Buloni describes her first summer in the town of Naomi, Florida, and all the good things that happen after she befriends a stray dog she names Winn-Dixie.
After the book talk, tweens can compete against one another in some fun “Minute to Win It”-style challenges! Read the book and join us for this fun and interactive afternoon!
This event is free and open to all tweens with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7220 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/?event_id=3325.
