MCPL Stratford Branch will stay on track with railroad history event
What’s that comin’ down the tracks? It’s the sound of history and the Marathon County Public Library will share some of it with you during a special program focusing on local locomotive history! MCPL will offer “Along the Railroad Tracks of Marathon County” on April 10 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Stratford Branch Library, 400 N. Fourth Ave., Stratford.
Gary Gisselman from the Marathon County Historical Society will present this program, which will focus on the history of railroading and railroad companies in Marathon County. Gisselman will present information and pictures and will also take questions from the audience. This program is part of the historical society’s “History Speaks” series.
