“The Aging Brain”
Have you ever wondered how aging affects brain function and if there is anything you can do? If so, you’ll want to attend “The Aging Brain” program presented by Dr. Jeffrey Amundson on January 25 from 9:30 –11:00 am at UW Marathon in the Center for Civic Engagement located at 625 Stewart Avenue (park in Lot G). The program will discuss how aging can affect how the brain works and offer ideas on how to maintain a healthy brain. Do crossword puzzles and other mental exercises help prolong the onset of disease? Learn what steps you can take to maintain a healthy brain in every age.
Dr. Jeffrey Amundson is a cognitive neuroscientist on the faculty at UW-Marathon and Wood Counties whose research has focused on issues related to learning and memory. This program is part of the Retirement Well-Being series presented by United Way RSVP, a 55+ volunteer service providing personalized placement and support to persons interested in volunteering.
