Make cards and letters for local veterans at MCPL Spencer Branch
Folks can help give local veterans a warm welcome home by making cards and letters at the Marathon County Public Library. MCPL will host its “Honor Flight Mail Call” event on Feb. 12 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Spencer Branch Library, 105 S. Park St.. Patrons of any age are invited to make thank you cards and letters to be handed out to local veterans returning from the next Honor Flight trip to Washington D.C. in April. Receiving these pieces of “mail” and letters of gratitude are part of the Honor Flight experience and one that the vets value greatly! All supplies will be provided.
