Marathon County Mental Health Collaborative Announces Free Community Screening of “Screenagers: Next Chapter”

Community members invited to explore youth mental health in the digital age

The Mental Health Collaborative, in partnership with the Wausau Early Birds Rotary Club, will host a free community screening of Screenagers: Next Chapter — Addressing Youth Mental Health in the Digital Age on Wednesday, October 7 at Wausau West High School Auditorium, 1200 W Wausau Ave, Wausau, WI 54401. The event begins at 6:00 PM, with a resource fair opening at 5:15 PM. 

Millions of young people encounter stress, anxiety, and depression—often influenced by their digital environments. Screenagers: Next Chapter follows physician and filmmaker Delaney Ruston as she explores practical, research-based solutions to support adolescent mental health and highlights strategies families and communities can use to promote well-being. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to: 

  • View the documentary examining youth mental health in today’s digital landscape
  • Connect with local organizations at a pre-event resource fair 
  • Learn tools and approaches that support healthier digital habits and emotional wellness 

The screening is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is encouraged and can be completed using the link below.
