The Children’s Imaginarium, located at 195 N. Second Street in downtown Wausau, is excited to announce the second annual Construct It Kids, taking place on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
Designed for children ages 2–12+ and their families, Construct It Kids brings the worlds of construction, engineering, and skilled trades to life through interactive experiences. Children will have opportunities to explore equipment, meet local trades professionals, and discover how STEM skills are used to design, build, and strengthen their communities.
“Construct It Kids gives children the chance to learn by doing—whether they are operating a tool, exploring a piece of equipment, or completing a hands-on building activity,” said Julie Bollmann, Executive Director of the Children’s Imaginarium. “These experiences help children build confidence, spark curiosity, and see the exciting possibilities available in STEM and the skilled trades.”
This year’s event will feature:
Tickets are $6 per person, and children ages 1 and younger are FREE. Tickets may be purchased in advance at www.childrensimaginarium.org or on the day of the event. Construct It Kids admission is separate from admission to the Children’s Imaginarium.
