Ethereal Gardens Awarded SARE Research and Development Grant
ETHEREAL GARDENS
Harrison, WI: Debra Weiss, owner of Ethereal Gardens and District 4 Wausau City Council Candidate was awarded a $6500 grant through the Sustainable Agriculture Research & Education Program to develop thermal sand batteries to be used in cold weather agricultural production.
If successful, this technology stands to revolutionize not only cold weather farming, but residential and commercial heating in general. The grant project runs from March 15th of this year through March 15th of 2025.
Ethereal Gardens has a full selection of medicinal herbs, culinary herbs, dried herbal teas, native & pollinator nursery stock, organic vegetables and fruit, community supported agriculture shares serving Wausau, Schofield, Rothschild, Weston, Mosinee, Eland, Wittenberg, Hatley, Ringle, Birnamwood, Antigo, Aniwa & Merrill. Our CSA also serves the Minocqua and Eagle River area if we get a minimum of 3 shares in the area. We are a small biointensive organic farm in Central Wisconsin.
