Wausau–It is with a sense of deep gratitude and profound reflection that we announce an important decision regarding the future of the South Area Business Association (SABA). In accordance with Chapter 181 of our organization’s bylaws, and after careful consideration by our board of directors, SABA will officially dissolve, effective December 31, 2023.

For the past 70 years, SABA has been an essential part of the South Area community, providing a platform for businesses to connect, collaborate, and thrive. Throughout its rich history, the organization has enjoyed numerous achievements and fostered valuable partnerships, thanks to the dedicated support from members and board members past and present.

The decision to dissolve SABA is bittersweet; however, we are confident it is the right choice at this time. Although SABA will no longer continue in its current form, the legacy it leaves behind will endure through the connections and memories forged over its seven-decade journey.

As a token of appreciation for your ongoing support and commitment towards SABA’s cause, we invite you to our final luncheon taking place on Tuesday, December 12th at NorthStar Restoration Services. Additional details about the event will be communicated soon. The occasion presents an opportunity for us to reminisce about our shared experiences while bidding farewell to this chapter of the organization.

We owe our deepest gratitude to all who have been part of this remarkable journey. Your dedication and passion have been integral to SABA’s success in fostering a vibrant business community in the South Area region. We hope that you’ll join us in celebrating these accomplishments during our final gathering as we honor the incessant support you’ve provided over the years.
