Northwoods National Cemetery

Bryon Gleisner, Manager of the Northwoods National Cemetery in Harshaw, spoke at the Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee group at Denny’s in Rothschild on October 23, 2024. He discussed and handed out information about the Northwoods National Cemetery which is the only National Cemetery open to first interments.  

Bryon provided the history of the cemetery explaining how the Northwoods became home to one of the newest National Cemeteries in the nation, as well as some information on its construction.  He also discussed eligibility for burial at the cemetery the burial options that are available, and how to schedule a committal service.
