Final phase of campaign improves efficiency, safety, and neighborhood appearance.

A community non-profit organization, Good News Project, is pleased to announce the completion of its loading dock renovation, marking the final phase of its capital campaign. This important project strengthens day-to-day operations by creating a more efficient, accessible, and reliable space for truck loading and deliveries.

The renovation was made possible through generous support from the Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, the Marvin and Ruth (Rudie) Schuette Donor Advised Fund, the Bell Family Charitable Trust/WoodTrust Bank, and other private donors. Their investment helped bring the campaign to a strong finish; ensuring that the organization can continue serving the community with greater efficiency and care.

The upgraded loading dock will save staff time by streamlining truck loading and unloading, while also improving the surrounding neighborhood. The project addressed cracked surfaces where weeds had grown through, enhanced the overall appearance of the site, and optimized drainage to better support the area long term.

“This renovation is more than an infrastructure improvement—it is an investment in our people, our operations, and our neighborhood,” said Christine Daniels, Executive Director of Good News Project. “We are deeply grateful to the donors who made this final phase possible and helped us complete our capital campaign on such a meaningful note.”

Good News Project (GNP) fulfills needs at home and abroad through meaningful service opportunities. GNP is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1983, starting a legacy of hands-on volunteering and relationship building. GNP serves others through their Health Equipment Lending Program (HELP Closet), Electronics Recycling (e-CYCLING) Program and Local Volunteer Opportunities.
