Man of Honor Society Supports Veterans with Annual Fundraiser
For the Wausau Times
The Man of Honor Society will hold their 18th annual fundraiser starting this Friday, June10 through Sunday June 12. This is a continued effort in supporting Veterans, active duty military, and their families, many of whom need more help than ever with the economic impact of price increases for day to day living.
The Man of Honor Society has been working very hard at offering this annual event where our community can participate and enjoy festivities without an admission fee, and expect a friendly atmosphere. This is the only fundraiser that is offered by the Man of Honor, and every year our community comes through for this organization.
The event will run from June 10 through June 12 outdoors behind the Wausau Eagle’s Club, 1703 S. Third Ave, Wausau, with music, raffles, food and drinks. An Honor Ride, Veteran’s Ceremony and fireworks show are planned for Saturday, June 11.
With the response of new attendees every year, the Man of Honor is expecting another great turnout to support local Veterans. Especially the Honor Ride on Saturday, which has continued to grow in attendance, with many from around the state. The Honor Ride has surpassed expectations with over 200 participants, which welcomes motorcyclists and vehicles. Saturday’s firework show has grown to be one of the best in the area, and attendance too!
No children’s games will be held on Saturday, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own folding chairs for additional seating outside of tent[s].
Friday night’s music The Drovers, Saturday Knock Point and Sunday the Polish Connection!
A reminder: fireworks are always weather permitting.
The Man of Honor Society is grateful for the community’s support. Direct any questions purchase raffle Jeff Morgan, President of Man of Honor Society; 715-203-3211
