Community program offered for grieving families
Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services, in partnership with Wings, a Grief Education Ministry, will host a family grief program designed to help families navigate grief during the holiday season. The event titled, “Music Fills Your Memories With Hope,” will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3, from 4-6 p.m. at the Plaza Hotel and Suites in Wausau, located at 201 N. 17th Ave. This free program is open to the public and registration is not required.
Holidays often evoke complex emotions about relationships and people in our lives who have died. Music has the ability to trigger memories of sad times, but it can also remind us of happy times, memories of events, or family and friends that bring us joy. Join us for a program where it is safe to feel your emotions through the gift of music. Living River, a local Christian quartet, will offer a combination of spiritual, traditional, feel-good Christmas songs. Sometimes things that hurt can soothe us when we listen to music that says the words we want to hear.
