Remote Opportunity! The Red Cross is looking for individuals to work evening (10pm-2am) and overnight (2am-6am) shifts for Disaster Dispatch. Disaster Dispatch is the vital link between the Red Cross and local first responders. Working remotely from home, dispatch volunteers collect necessary information and activate the Red Cross response. Contact Lee at lee.borofka@redcross.org for more information.

Help The Community Closet Succeed! United Way of Marathon County’s Community Closet offers one-time volunteer shifts every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month, 2-4pm. Sort clothing donations, do some light cleaning, and help with special projects that make the Community Closet a better resource for families! Register at www.unitedwaymc.org/volunteer

Are You Free Once A Week?  Wausau Area Mobile Meals is looking for regular route drivers for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Each route delivers a meal to 10-15 people in the Wausau area from 11am to 1pm. It’s a small amount of time but it makes a big impact on our elderly and disabled community! Contact Doris at (715) 848-5848 or wamobilemeals@yahoo.com to sign up.

Do You Love Gardening? Making New Friends? Gigi’s Playhouse, a Down Syndrome Achievement Center, is looking for volunteers to assist with current group programs including Seed to Sale (gardening), Music Makers, Kitchen, and social skills programs for ages 5 through adults. Helpers should be 16+; all training and resources are provided. Please contact Erica at (715) 907-1867 or volunteerwausau@gigisplayhouse.org to get started.
