Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee Announces their Non-Profit Status

The Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee group became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on April 12, 2024.  The group was founded on February 8, 2012 and has over 700 members. Over 85 members attend the meeting at Denny’s in Rothschild each week.  

Their mission is to provide Veterans with moral support, information of interest to Veterans, help securing needed resources and providing meals for those in need. Their main service area is Marathon County.

Their vision is to provide a safe and secure place for Veterans to connect and enjoy a meal and a cup of coffee.

The organization's meal program has provided Veterans and their families with over 1400 meals in the past three years. That includes over 700 meals delivered to Veterans homes by volunteers. The meals are prepared at Denny’s.

Funding for the Veterans Meal Program comes from members, Denny’s customers, local businesses and community minded individuals.  

The Veterans Weekly Cup-of-Coffee Board of Directors that have been elected to two-year terms include the following Officers: President and Treasurer Mike Heilmann, Vice President Don Kozlowski, Secretary Teresa Holewinski and Directors: Public Relations Mike Heilmann, Veterans Meal Program Don Kozlowski, Chaplain Dick Peterson, Teresa Holewinski and Ricardo Alcantara.
