It can sometimes be difficult to wrap your mind abstract art, but tweens can learn about some of the method behind the madness at the Marathon County Public Library! MCPL will offer “Tween STEAM: Abstract Art” on January 17 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at their Wausau Headquarters, 300 N. First St., Wausau.
Students in grades 4-6 will learn about famous abstract artists and how they created the work that made them famous. Kids can then show off their artsy side by creating their own pieces of abstract art! All supplies will be provided. This event is part of MCPL’s dedication to offering programs to students that will strengthen their minds in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM).
This event is free and open to all tweens with no registration required. For more information, call 715-261-7230 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/?event_id=2997.
