S.C. Swiderski (SCS) is excited to announce its 5th annual CAS Food Drive in collaboration with twelve food pantries across the state has resulted in 3,317 food and monetary donations. All donations received were matched 1:1 by SCS, which doubled the impact of every contribution and resulted in a total of 6,634 donations!
Food drives like this one matter as they directly support the heart of our communities: the people. In Wisconsin, 694,710 people face hunger (Feeding America). That’s 694,710 neighbors, coworkers and friends that are affected by food insecurity.
“Our internal volunteer committee, CAS, started annual food drives in 2018. In 2021, we made the larger effort with our first cross-property initiative, and received 1,339 donations that the company matched,” Jacqui McElroy, member of the employee-led CAS committee, shares. “It has grown every year since then, and we are so excited about this year's success and thankful to everyone who continues to help us in our efforts to have a positive impact on our communities.”
S.C. Swiderski is thankful to all employees, residents and neighbors that contributed to the success of this year’s food drive, since it directly correlates to the Company’s mission and values of developing and strengthening communities. SCS is honored to be a member of more than 25 communities across the state and remains committed to their mission for more than 30 years.
