Public meetings set for Transit Development Plan

The Wausau Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) will hold public informational meetings on the draft Transit Development Program (TDP) plan in the Village of Rothschild and Town of Rib Mountain. The TDP is developed every five years to examine the current public transit system, discuss public transit in the metro area, and identify opportunities. This plan was developed by MPO staff and utilized an extensive public survey on the question of transit in the metro area.

Public informational meetings:

•April 30, 4:30–5:30 p.m., Community Room, Village Hall, 211 Grand Ave., Rothschild.

May 7, 4–6 p.m., Aspen Room, Quality Inn, 2901 Hummingbird Rd., Town of Rib Mountain.

MPO staff will be on hand to answer questions and the public is invited to make oral and written comments on the plan.
