Prevail Bank donates $5,000 to First Presbyterian’s Free Clinic

Posted

A donation of $5,000 was made to the First Presbyterian Church of Wausau by Prevail Bank to help cover the expense of medical supplies needed by its Free Clinic on Grant Street, in addition to a clinic coordinator position.

“The financial support of Prevail Bank means so much, and we are so appreciative,” said Jeffrey Todd, CMPE (retired) Clinic Manager. “It is only through the generosity of our supporters, like Preval Bank, that we can provide high quality medical services at no charge to our patients. This removes a significant barrier to accessing health care for the poor and uninsured.”

Surrounded by the Clinic’s volunteer medical staff, Jeffrey Todd, Clinic Manager & Volunteer and Dr. Jeff Oswald, Clinic Medical Director (center) accepted the check from Prevail Bank Branch Manager, Jarrod Spinnato (pictured just to the right of Dr. Oswald). The monetary gift was part of Prevail Bank’s Charitable Contributions program. Non-profits that assist low-to-moderate income households, those that stimulate communities financially, provide financial literacy, and/or enhance the standard of living of those less fortunate, in the communities Prevail Bank serves, were encouraged to apply. This Spring, Prevail Bank’s Charitable Contributions Committee approved the disbursement of $67,650 between 20 nonprofits.
