Looking for a place to tuck your summer toys for winter? A new business in Kronenwetter offers spaces sure to fit even your biggest treasures.
The new storage facilities in Kronenwetter begin opening to the public in June. They offer not only the usual 10 x 10, 10 x 20 and 10 x 30 units, but they also boast 11 x 24 feet units. The 11-foot-wide units have garage doors that are 10 x 8 feet allowing for easier clearance. Early next year, they will offer even larger units with 10 x 10-foot doors. The 11 x 28 feet units will be available in February or March of 2026.
“We had received many calls from people who own pontoon boats, campers and taller work trailers, asking if we possibly had any units that had 10-foot-wide doors and additionally had 10 feet in height,” said Kronenwetter Storage owner Mike Tourville, “Well, we listened.”
The three buildings that make up the business are designed to accommodate tenants who need to back in trailers. A 40-foot-wide drive path stands between each building. This drive path will eventually have new blacktop by the end of 2026.
Owners Tourville and Mary Smet underwent a lengthy search before landing in Kronenwetter.
“We both appreciate the ‘up north’ atmosphere of a quieter town,” said Tourville. “Central Wisconsin is a popular geographic location that has more and more individuals and families moving to it. I believe our brand-new facility with the wide range of size offerings will be able to meet many of the storage needs in the area.”
A ribbon-cutting will celebrate the new business addition to Kronenwetter on Friday, September 19, 2025, from 2:30 to 3 p.m.
Kronenwetter Storage is located at 1260 Kowalski Road at the intersection of Kowalski Road and Old Highway 51 in Kronenwetter.
