Learn about road construction work zone safety at MCPL Spencer Branch

Posted

Before our roads and highways fill up with construction projects, learn about the importance of work zone safety during a special presentation on April 10 from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Spencer Branch, 105 S. Park St., Spencer.

Every spring and summer, Wisconsin's roads and highways fill up with orange barrels as road construction projects get underway. And with those projects come highway workers, some of whom are killed or injured each year due to unsafe drivers. James Griesbach, Marathon County Highway Commissioner, will discuss the importance of driving safe in work zones. Griesbach will talk about experiences and concerns of highway workers and will also take audience questions.

This event is free and open to the public with no registration required. For more information, call 715-659-3996 or visit https://mcpl.us/events/4167.
