The Gaming with Khiana fundraiser was successfully held May 5 at the DC Everest Jr. High after having to be canceled April 14 due to the snowstorm.
Board, card and vintage video games were played. Donations were accepted at the door, but admission was free to anyone. Children from ages 4–64 were there to support Khiana by playing games, eating a freezer full of pizza, and lots of water and soda. There was a silent raffle and a 50/50 raffle hosted by the high school students.
Khiana belongs to the Gaming Club. Earlier this year the club voted to give her a surprise donation from money raised at Evercon to help cover her large cancer related bills. The students then also decided to host a mini-convention calling it “Gaming With Khiana” as a fundraiser to again help with her bills.
