Cycling Without Age Marathon County, a non-profit formed in 2019, continues to serve the greater Wausau area with their five trishaws giving rides to people who want to get outside and enjoy a relaxing bike ride but may no longer have the ability to do so by themselves. Volunteers known as ‘Pilots’ take up to two riders at a time through scenic areas of the community.
We are looking for new Pilots! Our annual training will be held from 5-9pm on Friday May 1st and May 29th, 2026 in Wausau. Please email cwa.marathoncounty@gmail.com to choose which training day suits your schedule. Pilots must be at least 18 years of age, posses a valid driver’s license and have the ability to pedal an electric three wheel bicycle with passengers.
Rides are given at no charge and begin the first week of June through Labor Day. You can schedule a ride through our community site at The Landing at the YMCA 715-845-2177.
