The Marathon County Historical Society presents our annual “Voices from the Past: An Historical Walk through Pine Grove Cemetery” on Sunday, September 22, 2024, at Pine Grove Cemetery, 1501 Grand Avenue in Wausau. The first tour leaves at 11 a.m., and the last tour begins at 2 p.m.
During a guided tour through the historic cemetery, costumed reenactors will tell stories from Marathon County’s past. We’ll highlight business owners, a musician, a military officer, and several others that made Wausau the strong community that it was then and has become.

The mission of MCHS is to collect, preserve, and exhibit materials related to the history of Marathon County, and to use these materials to help people learn about North Central Wisconsin, connect with their roots, and explore their own historical connections.
