The City Council, at a Committee of the Whole meeting, will be discussing the future implementation of a Lead Service Line Replacement Ordinance. The Committee of the Whole will be provided information on lead service lines, upcoming rules and regulations related to new lead/copper regulations and options for implementing a lead service line replacement ordinance. No decisions are made at the Committee of the Whole as these meetings are used to allow the city council to ask questions for further education on specific topics to make more informed future decisions.

The Council President will be allowing residents to provide public comments related to the Lead Service Line Ordinance at the meeting. In order to provide comment at the meeting please complete the Citizens Right to Address Council form and hand it in to the City Clerk prior to start of the meeting. Residents may provide comment ahead of the meeting via the following email: [email protected], please include the following in the Subject Line LSL Ordinance Public Comment.

Committee of the Whole Meeting will be held August 19, 2024 at 6:45pm. Residents may come and listen to the discussion or watch the meeting from another location through public access Video On Demand Links | Wausau, WI (wausauwi.gov).
