MCPL Extension to offer classes on gardening for pollinators
FOR WAUSAU TIMES
Adults interested in learning about helping pollinators through gardening are invited to the interactive class “Gardening for Pollinators” on June 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Marathon County Public Library’s Wausau Headquarters, (300 N. First St., Wausau). The class will be repeated that evening, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., also at MCPL Wausau.
This program, led by Extension Marathon County Horticulture Educator Janell Wehr, will cover ways to mitigate pollinator decline, including plants they love plants and matching cultivars to specific sites to really help these little helpers thrive! Pollinators are responsible for 1 in 3 bites of food we eat, so give them some love back with your garden!
These classes are free and open to the public, with registration required. To register for the class, visit
