You are not alone:

By Marcie Knase
My name is Marcie Knase and 5 ½ years ago a tragedy hit our family when our oldest son, Mitch, died by suicide.
There are many reasons a person chooses to end their life. However, no matter the reason, those left behind will live with the grief for the rest of their lives. Personally, I found some peace by writing, reading, walking and talking. I was fortunate to find a group of people who understood my grief because they too are living with their own.
About 2 ½ years ago we relocated to the Wausau area, and I immediately looked for a group to attend. With COVID the group had shut down and the facilitator had moved. I took training in my hometown, so I volunteered to facilitate a group in Wausau. Our support group is a part of Prevent Suicide-Marathon County.
We meet at 7:00 p.m. the third Tuesday of the month at the Northcentral Technical College, building A. There are signs to follow to the room.
If you have lost a loved one to suicide, please join us to share our stories, our grief, our hopes. For more information, you can call me at 218-393-9695.
