WAUSAU — Cloverbelt Credit Union (CCU) was selected as one of 50 credit union credit card partners to participate in Elan’s Across the Country Charitable Giving program. As one of 50 randomly selected partners, was able to choose The Neighbors’ Place to receive a generous $12,500 donation on their behalf.
“CCU takes the philosophy of ‘People Helping People’ very seriously, as do our friends at The Neighbors’ Place.” Cloverbelt Credit Union President, Paul Chittum, stated. “They offer valuable programs such as the food bank and pantry, Wheels Again, community gardens, and other services free of charge to those who really need them. We are so grateful that Elan gave us this opportunity to help The Neighbors’ Place continue to help people throughout Marathon County and surrounding communities.”
Mallory McGivern, Community Impact Manager for The Neighbors’ Place, added “The donation will be used to expand our newest hygiene and diaper bank program, The Babies’ Place. The Neighbors’ Place recently found a diaper vendor that allows us to purchase pallets of diapers at a reduced cost, allowing us to increase the impact and provide this important resource to more children.”
“The Neighbors’ Place is an organization that continually grows to meet the needs of their community. Elan is proud to support their newest program, The Babies’ Place, to help families with infants”, said Aaron Melnarik, Director of Client Relationships at Elan.
