Youth Poetry Contest (All Locations)
From January 3 through May 27, young writers between the ages of 9-18 are invited to submit original, unpublished poems for MCPL’s youth poetry contest! There’s no limit on the length, and each person can enter two poems. Entrants must be Marathon County residents. Submit entries to [email protected] or drop them off in person at any MCPL location. Grab & Go Craft for Kids: Quilled Monster Magnets (All Locations)
From March 1-31, the Marathon County Public Library will offer a free Grab & Go kit for kids at all nine of its locations! Each kit will contain supplies for making a monster magnet using the art of quilling! Kits are free and available while supplies last and can be picked up any time the library is open. Stuffed Animal Sleepover (MCPL Rothschild)
The Marathon County Public Library’s Rothschild Branch (211 Grand Ave., Rothschild) will host a stuffed animal sleepover on March 10. Kids can drop off one of their stuffed animals at the branch any time between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. The stuffed friend will stay overnight at the library and can then be picked up the next day. Parents will be emailed pictures of all the fun shenanigans the toys got up to during their stay. Free. For more info, call 715-359-6208.

Teens across Wisconsin are invited to this virtual hangout organized by teen librarians from around the state! The hangout/chat will be held on March 15 from 6-7:30 p.m., via Zoom.
