WAUSAU – Wausau will host a balloon fest in 2021. The Taste ‘n Glow Balloon Festival is scheduled for July 9-11.

“Steve Woller started the balloon rally in 2002 and has been involved every year since.  This event is needed more now than ever,” a festival press release stated.  

“Trailmates snowmobile club has graciously agreed to host the event at their grass drags on the west side of Wausau in the town of Stettin. Balloons will not be the only feature. This will be the first year for ‘Taste of Marathon County’.  Local restaurants, food trucks, caterers and non-profits are encouraged to participate in sharing their local flavors with the rest of Marathon County. There will also be a swap meet, flea market, craft sale, kids activities, bands, tractor pull and much, much, more.

“We are excited to have the Trailmates team host this event, as they have everything an event could need already on site. Lots of parking, volunteers, electricity, water, bleachers, PA system, and all on a beautiful 80-acre lawn.

“We believe this event can take place safely in the COVID world we live in. There will be something for everyone.”
