MADISON – Mandy Ellenbecker, of Athens, has been named as a director of the Easterseals Wisconsin Board of Directors.
The statewide board consists of 18 individuals who dedicate their time to support Easterseals Wisconsin programs that assist people with disabilities across the state.
Mandy was first introduced to Easterseals Wisconsin through her uncle, Sylvester “Skip” Ellenbecker, and his memorial golf outing held each year in Marathon. The fundraising event benefits the FARM Program, supporting farmers with disabilities.
“I participated in the golf outing for the first few years and was eventually asked to be on the event planning committee. I have been a part of that for several years now. I was surprised and flattered when asked to join the board of Easterseals Wisconsin,” said Ellenbecker.
“Mandy came highly recommended to the Board as a potential candidate during our search for new members,” said Easterseals Wisconsin President and CEO Paul Leverenz. “She is passionate about the Skip Ellenbecker Memorial Golf Outing and the meaning behind which the fundraiser is held. Whether she realized it before or not, her enthusiasm has been key to the ongoing success of fundraising for this unique program. We are delighted to have her on board.”
“I look forward to being more immersed in all the amazing things Easterseals Wisconsin offers, and to help expand exposure in central Wisconsin and the Northwoods,” said Ellenbecker.
Mandy resides in Athens and is the vice president of Funding for Aqua Finance in Wausau, where she recently celebrated her 16th anniversary with the company.
