By the Rothschild Police Department
As part of state and national efforts to help keep roadways safe for all travelers, Rothschild Police Department officers made five OWI arrests during the “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” campaign, held Dec. 18-Jan. 1
While the focus of the initiative was to deter impaired driving, officers also issued citations and made arrests during traffic stops for the following: two safety belt/child restraint violations, eight speeding violations, 14 operating after revocation or suspension violations, seven vehicle registration violations, 29 other traffic violations, one drug arrest, one felony arrest, one misdemeanor arrest, one warrant arrest, and 108 written warnings.
“Our 2021 New Year’s resolution is for everyone to drive safely and responsibly during every trip,” Captain Kevin Ostrowski said. “Thanks for all you do to keep our roadways and communities safe.”
