Downtown hosts Dining on the Street
By Wausau Times staff
WAUSAU – The Wausau River District, Compass Properties, Third Street Lifestyle Center, and Fabiano Brothers, are offering “Dining on the Street” in Downtown Wausau every Wednesday until Aug. 26.
The event gives local musicians a chance to showcase their talents, while bringing in two live artists each week.
“Dining on the Street is a huge reminder that Mainstreet is open again, and all of the businesses are in this together,” said Tyler Vogt, Malarkey’s Pub & Townies Grill co-owner. “It’s a great way to save some of the summer activities while keeping social distancing in mind.”
During the event, the 300 and 400 blocks of Third Street are blocked off.
Businesses participating include: Benvenuto’s City Grill Restaurant, Ciao, Jalapeño’s Mexican Restaurante & Bar, Lemongrass Asian Fusion, Mint Café, Polito’s Pizza, and Townies Grill.
