D.C. Everest finishes the regular season on top

WAUSAU – The D.C. Everest boys basketball team finished the Wisconsin Valley Conference season on top, with a 10-2 conference record.
The Evergreens played their final game of the regular season on Feb. 27, hosting Rhinelander. The boys trailed in the first half and were down 41-35 at the break.
The second half of the game saw D.C. Everest finding their rhythm, scoring 51 points, taking the game 86-69.
Leading Everest was Ethan Ostrowski, who scored 22 points. Keaton Edwards scored 20 and Cade Siverston added 15 points, followed by Bryan Halamback, with 14, and Colton Halls, with 13.
The D.C. Everest team will host Wisconsin Rapids on March 6 for a regional game.
